Pehr Granqvist

Pehr Granqvist is Professor of Psychology at Stockholm University (SU), where he holds the prestigious Eneroth professorship. Pehr earned his PhD in 2002 from Uppsala University with a dissertation examining attachment theory in relation to various aspects of religion and spirituality. He has received multiple scientific awards for his research, including the William James Award from the American Psychological Association for outstanding publications in the psychology of religion. Currently, Pehr also pursues projects in psychedelic science, testing relations between attachment constructs and psychedelic experiences. He and his team are particularly interested in whether psychedelic treatment, as part of its clinical utility, can also facilitate increased attachment security. Their interdisciplinary approach to psychedelic science combines rigorous attachment research with an understanding of transcendent and spiritual dimensions of human experience.
